Monash Cultural Night '08

Sunday, April 06, 2008

Apparently, the Monash Cultural Night is the biggest social event in the Monash student calender. This event is organised by MUISS (Monash University International Student Services) every year. Guess it still takes international students to show us a good time huh? Oh well. We'll get there. Malaysia Boleh, right? For the record, the emcees who were Malaysians except for one were not too bad. At least they looked good. Anyway, I'll leave the pics to do the talking. Did not take too many pics as my cam was kinda full. Check out Facebook for more.

I had a great time minus the bad organising of food. Of course I was with my babes. Yeah and someone couldn't make it. For the record, there were TONS of cute guys :) Just didn't manage to snap their pics for you :(

In advance, I'm sorry for the bad pics. I've never been handy taking pictures when people are moving :(

Theme was Colours of the World.

Awesome light show to get the crowd in the mood.

Dikir Barat. Malaysian performance with drums, clapping and singing.

Shoro Ritu. Traditional dance from Bangladesh.

OOOO.These girls were hot. Obviously they were working the crowd. Folk dance from Bangladesh.

Flavours of India. An Indian contemporary dance. They were one of the highlights of the night.

London School of Economics. No joking. Thats the band's name. Maybe they are all aiming to go there. They weren't half bad la.

Capoeira School. Brazilian blend of martial arts and dance. They were so fast my cam just couldn't take much more :(

Indonesian Youth Society. Saman dance from Indonesia.

Shradda. Singer who sang in Spanish.

Haha. Now here's a story. Albeit a little inconsequential for those who don't know him. He used to be my ex-school mate. But he probably doesn't remember me. I was never one of the popular kids and he was. So yeah, we never knew he had a voice and I seriously remember his voice as whiny. Surprisingly, he was not half bad. And he looks better since the last time I saw him. Oh, he's Aiman Hakim btw for those not from SS17.

Camwhore time!!! Mae, Lene, Me.

Mae and Lene.

Them again. I so nice la.

Mae, Me, Lene.

Evelyn and I.

Lene and I.

Ok ok. Sorry for the blurry pics and all. And there were seriously waaaay more performances than that. I was just tooo lazy to snap. I just enjoyed myself :D I paid for it! And I didn't even get my food :( Oh well. There was a great fashion show as well. Yup, no pics of that either. Will try to get them from friends later. The best performance went to a Persian band called Guitaraf. The international kids sure know how to liven things up :) Kudos to them for trying to fit in. And give US Malaysians a swell time as well. By the time I left, I was dead tired and half deaf because of all the screaming and cat calls. Yes, all the hot girls get all the attention. And people like me get the pain in the ears :(

Anyway, I had a great time with great friends and company.

:(

Maybe I deserve it for doing work at the last minute. But I didn't start RIGHT at the last minute :(Why can't my forgetfulness ever give me a break :( :( :( :(

Oh whatever. I'll just lift my head high and make sure the tears stay there. Cause I won't cry. I won't.

Not like I'm even remotely near to tears but it adds a little drama. But I am a teeny bit unhappy.

This blog is getting dry. Much like my life nowadays.

Going for Monash Cultural Night soon. Will update with pictures later.

God works in such mysterious ways its amazing.

After 2 weeks of fretting about my missing file, I found it right back where it was when I apparently lost it. Right on my desk. In the same classroom. Like it was never touched. I was beyond wondering how it could still be there. Honestly, I gave up all hope that I would find it. Today I went to class and saw it there. Even my gladness at seeing it had diminished. But I really am glad I found it now :)

Currently litening to The Click Five - Empty. Yea I know you aren't interested to know. Yes I am fickle and have changed from constantly listening to The Fray to numerous songs now. The Fray reminds me too much of Grey's so I try not to listen to it too much :)

Happy April Fool's Day. Not like you or I celebrate it. This day used to hold so much fun and laughter when I was younger and actually took the liberty to play childish pranks on friends and siblings. Today I would not have remembered it if not for the radio. I just assumed it was like any other day. Much like everything in life, the childhood innocence of an extra fun April Fools Day has lessened in years. Sometimes, a small prank can be quite useful in the life of a stressed out uni student. Reminds you of the time when you took such delights in it. Now you just brush away and grumble when you think of it or if someone plays a harmless one on you.
Yup, my sis played one on me. The old "there's something in you hair" trick. Yes, stop rolling your eyes. I fell for it. But just for that few seconds it was like being her age again. It felt quite nice. Then I smacked her for it :D

Till next time.

XOXO,
Sara

Uh oh.

Tomorrow is looming closer and closer. Somehow, time seems to speed up when you are heading for D-day.

Oh Lord, please please please let it just be in my head.

Did I mention Daughtry rocks my music world at the moment? No? Nevermind. Just trying to fill up space in this dull white patch I call my blog.

Go back to your very exciting lives my dear readers.

I confess: Grey's Anatomy is addictive.

Current addiction:

GREY'S ANATOMY!

Every time I hear the song How To Save A Life from The Fray now, I have this urge to watch Season 1 of Grey's again.

She is only watching it now??!

I know la. I am soooooooo ketinggalan. I am only in Season 2 of Grey's. I started watching...... about a week ago after I downloaded the first episode of season 1. Now I'm hooked. It's such a hit in the States and Malaysia. I can't WON'T follow the one on Star World because I refuse to know what happens in Season 3 or 4. No idea which season is showing on Star World now.

The plot is awesome. Those who watch it would agree. I think if I had started watching it way earlier when it first came out, I would have wanted to be a surgeon :) After a few episodes of drooling over hot doctors and being amazed by all the surgeries and medical terms, I realize its TV. No way are there such things in reality. Reality checks suck sometimes. So yes, I am still a business student attempting to survive my uni years. Besides, I can still do my part for society even if I can't save lives THAT way.

How To Save A Life is currently on playback mode on my lappy until I get bored of it.

Every now and then I will go to my bro's comp to see if I can some how download the next episode from season 2. Most of the time I can't because other people did not upload it :( Maybe its a sign that I really should not get hooked now :( :(

Still listening to The Fray and wishing I can laze around and watch Grey's all day.

This can't be good :(

Okay people. Stop being selfish. Do your bit for charity from the comfort of your own home.

Not too long ago, a friend of mine introduced me to this site. A few minutes of your time a day will make a difference in the life of someone today. The person may live to see the next day.

Sara is happy now :)

Assignments : "Get back to working on us! You haven't even started typing us out!"

Guess the joy didn't last long :(

The Case Of The Missing File.

Sigh
. There has to be a reason I keep losing things. Now that I'm in Monash, I've lost more bottles than I can count. Reason is because no one reminds me anymore :( Haha. Ex-classmates new I was infamous for leaving my bottle everywhere.

Recently, I lost my file. Not lost it per say. I just have NO IDEA where it disappeared too! I brought it to my last class on Tuesday and I know I did because I took out some articles from it. Then I went home straight after that last class. When I reached home, I realise I didn't have it :(

I mean, logically there could only be 2 reasons. One, I left it in class. But if I did, friends would have told me! So I am pretty sure I did not leave it there. Not THAT blind you know. I only have one desk. I didn't even stop anywhere after class and went straight home. Two, one of my tute mates accidentally took it. My group members were sitting nearest to me so I assumed and prayed hard they took it as I smsed them that night. Eeek. None of them did. OMG. I have no idea where it could have gone. Sigh. Got some important papers in there ler.

Oh God. Please let me find it ASAP.

When she wants to be stupid and forgetful, she can TOTALLY be it.

She prays very hard for an understanding reply from her lecturer tomorrow.

She will NEVER procrastinate again and take uni work lightly.

Nope, no inspirational words today. She just doesn't feel like it.

Maybe this time she will finally learn.

You asked for it.

When She Leaves Her Pendrive In The Library

Wednesday, March 12, 2008

I seriously hope I don't pass any of my stupidity genes to my children.

Not saying that I gained stupidity genes. Cause I believe that no one is stupid. Slow, yes. Not stupid. I believe stupidity is self taught. So how do one I pass it on? In my case, it (lack of using the grey matter/stupidity) sometimes becomes too much that it stays in my DNA and somehow becomes embedded. And THEN it passes on.

Aiyoh, I'm just BSing here la. Ignore what I just said. You'll probably fail Biology if you believe me.

I STILL don't want to pass on the genes.

UPDATEEEEE! (13/3)
Some kind soul took my pendrive to the lost and found department in the library. I was doing cartwheels inside when I saw my pendrive. I literally had nightmares last night :(

God Bless you whoever you are!!

New friend, Joeanne.

Freeee admission lar.
:D :D ;D
It was awesome. Volunteering and meeting great people has been one of the highlights of my life so far. I volunteered yesterday but today was the opening ceremony with all the celebrities attending it and camera crew all around. No idea if its going to be on TV or anything like that. Spokesperson for the campaign is Elaine Daly. Guess she was the only 'celebrity' who attended today worth looking out for. (Friend said she was old :( Guys are soooo critical). Unless you count Adam C as one. Oh well. Had classes so couldn't see much. Apart from looking disheveled at the end of the day, yea had to pick the BEST time to take pictures :( , it was great.
I feel like eating choc now :( But its 11 and I really shouldn't. Siiiiigh. Ok ok. Back to econs.

I need to learn how to operate it. Pronto.

Tuesday, March 04, 2008

Xin Fang and I couldn't operate the ultra high tech printer today at Monash library. Aiyooooooooh. Must press so many buttons one ah. Scan la. Swipe la. Press this button, that button, green button. At least got nice guys help us out. We looked so idiotic just staring at it and trying hard to look smart :(

We didn'y even know our notes were printed already till the guy took it out for us :( :(

Bimbo post....And yet not so bimbotic after all.

Friday, February 29, 2008

Oh my gaaadddddd. (Courtesy of Heng Heng)

My face doesn't look so good right now :( In fact it looks HORRIBLE :( :( :(

Sigh. And I wanna take pictures tomorrow. And I'm not too handy with concealer and all that jazz. I'm learning though :)

Okla. Shopping for clothes and heels makes me oh so happy. Its like a remedy to counter a bad complexion day :)

p/s: I don't mean to say Heng's signature phrase is bimbotic though. I just think its cute and relevant to this :)

One Life Revolution

One Life Revolution (OLR) is a unique walk through experiential exhibit and the 1st time held in Malaysia. One Life Revolution is an interactive experience that lets people "walk in the shoes" of others who have suffered the plight of social injustice. The life-size exhibit gives people the opportunity to have a direct encounter of someone else's life as they struggle to cope with HIV/AIDS and living in harsh conditionsprone to child trafficking.

The OLR was originally birth by World Vision US in 2005 and due to the overwhelming response, World Vision offices outside the United Stateshave mounted and/or are mounting similar OLR exhibitions in their respective countries : - Canada, New Zealand, Korea, Japan, Australia, Singapore and Malaysia.

OLR is basically a public awareness and advocacy campaign. The exhibit aims to raise awareness, among Malaysians, of the plight of children affected by HIV/AIDS and child trafficking. It is hoped that having "walked in the shoes" of the children featured, visitors would develop a sense of compassion and be challenged to help those affected in various capacities.
- Source: forwarded email.

I'm volunteering for this campaign. Simple jobs like ushering. Because I do have this feeling that I can make a difference even if I am only contributing my time :) Do come and visit it if you can, though I doubt many of you will since its in Monash campus and its during college hours. I'll be volunteering in Monash on 5th March.

But they have an exhibition in Mid Valley.
Date: 15th till the 16th of March.
Time: 10 am - 10pm.
Do try to visit it :D Admission is free ;) It only takes a few minutes of your time to change your perspective on life.

And Again...

Its baaaaacccck!

Yeah, a big AI fan here. And honestly, I think a guy could win this year. Unless the girls give more ooommphh, I think I would put my money on the guys. Particularly two *winks*

A new love for the season.

David Archuleta :D Such a cutie la. Who wouldn't like him? And he sings!! Ahhh. I do hope he does well. Even if he doesn't win, I'm pretty sure he'll have a record. The next Chris Daughtry. Anyway, the only drawback is he's too young for me :( Haha. You never know :)

Michael Johns. Aiyah sooooo hot la. His voice. Enough said.

Jason Castro. He surprised me. I guess he wasn't very well known since he didn't get as much screen time in the previous episodes like David and Michael but I think he's really good too. Dreadlocks suit him soooo well :)

Yes and sorry again for the lack of substance in recent posts. I like to write easy readings. Nothing too strong at the moment moves my fingers. Deal with it.

Aiyah.

I'm watching The Mummy now.

I loooooooovvvvveeeeeee this show. It never gets old. Brendan Fraser rocks. In this movie. Hate me for it if you must.

I LOOOVEEE this show. The fact that mummies interest me helps a tad lot. Heh.

If I didn't like the hot sun, sweating, the boring same brown clothes that they wear all the time, I think I would have chosen to be an archeologist.

Gonna Miss You Two Nutcases!

Won't be selfish here. Will save my rants for another day :)

This post is totally dedicated to two of the most wonderful people siao pohs that I have been blessed to get to know in my life so far. They've been embedded in most of the chapters in my life story. The good and the bad, we've been through it all. And now you guys are leaving. Sigh. But honestly, I couldn't be happier that you guys are going to be successful one day! So here starts another chapter in the book. Different chapter, same story. Because no matter how far you guys go, they'll always be a chapter reserved for you, as and when you come back, in this book of my life.

Ok la. Getting too corny already. Anyway, WILL MISS YOU GUYS TTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSS MUCH :)

Take care and God Bless both of you.

Bye-bye Audrey and Kerry!

Relief.

Friday, February 15, 2008

Well. Its over. Teaching that is.

Yup. Today is officially my last day of being a substitute teacher. My current mood? HUMONGOUS, GIGANDO RELIEF.

I don't think I'm quite there yet when it comes to teaching kids. Teaching is fine, don't get me wrong. I don't mind teaching. Its more of controlling the kids that I have a problem with. Young and boisterous. That really shoould be the defination for kids. Either that or time sure has changed since I was a kid.

I feel mean now. I really hope they get a strict replacement teacher. At least then she would be able to control them. REALLY control them. Maybe then they'll see how good they got it when I was teaching. I was too nice to them. Sometimes I wished I was stricter. But when they are so darn adorable its abit hard. Honestly, it was getting to the point where I just felt like slapping them. Rude and obnoxious they were to me. GGGRRR. So honestly, a strict teacher would benefit them because they will study as well as learn when to shut it when asked too. These rants only relate to the standard 3 students. Standard 5 kids were okay. When I have kids, I'll teach them manners till they become the epitome of a gentleman or lady :D

Sometimes.

Yeah. Sometimes. You have no idea how bad it got.
Other than that, I really had no complains working there. The other teachers were good to me and thats all I could really ask for. One of my exteachers came up to me one day.

Teacher H: Sara, now you know how I feel. *Gives me that been- there-done-that smile*
Mua: I sure do. But I did your work :D
Teacher H: *Laughs*

Anyhow, I survived. But I doubt if I stayed longer I would have survived. Strange as it may seem, I just might miss them. The kids.

Back to being a college student next week :)

*

I want class like Audrey Hepburn. Teehee. Random I know. But watch Breakfast At Tiffany's. I think I've watched it more times than I can count. You'll get my drift.

Ang Pows and Yee Sang

Sunday, February 10, 2008

You know (you probably don't), I never really loved CNY. I mean, mum tells me all these stories bout how they used to wait all year to collect ang pows, the good food and new clothes they receive for CNY.

Since I get an allowance, get good food and clothes all year round, I never really saw whats so great about CNY. Kids these days are sooo spoiled :)

Oh wait. I love collecting ang pows :) And Yee Sang :D

But really, thats about it. I hate CNY shopping. I mean the amount of people shoving around for clothes and throwing them on the floor (wait, I guess all shopping is like that) is absurd. You'd think they never saw clothes in their life. No matter. I like shopping when there is a HUGE sale and no one is there but me. Unrealistic, but if I become famous enough, people will close their shops for me. Some day.

I hate the hike in prices on almost every food item. I hated the long jams on the road when I used to travel back to Penang. Don't get me wrong, I loved to visit my grandma (maybe love is to strong a word. LIKED. Sounds better) but we never spoke more than 10 words before. Language barrier. Bet she understands me now :) Anyway, I don't travel back during CNY.

I don't like all the chinese music that radio stations and departmental stores feel the obligation to blare during this season. Horrible person right? But thats just how I feel.

So yeah, basically all I like bout CNY are the ang pows and yee sang.

p.s : Invite me for gambling :)

Have A Happy And Prosperous Chinese New Year!

Xin Nian Kuai Le!

Switchfoot Concert 02.02.08

Monday, February 04, 2008

Switchfoot was awesome! Opening acts, Kill Me Butch and Altered Frequency were rocking as well. I am not a huge Switchfoot fan like Mae and Aliah, but I still managed to meet them face to face to get autographs for Mae :) I do like their music well enough though. My feet were stabbing me in the soles by the end of the night. But it was worth every cent spent on those tickets.

I hope they come back. Then this time I'll know all the lyrics to their songs.

Apart from the people pushing, (free standing mah), it was great :)

Pictures pictures! Since I am so lazy to write anymore. School, I mean WORK, tomorrow.

Aliah's hub hub.

Mae's hubby. He can sing :)

HOT. Sorry Aliah. But he is still yours :)

END.

Wednesday, January 30, 2008

Sweeney Todd was bloody. Not as in bloody good. Just... BLOODY. Gore and all.

I never thought I would come out feeling less than ecstatic about a Johnny Depp show but this has got to be the first. And I wanted to bring my sis to the show :( It wasn't per say, a bad movie. I love musicals and all and it wasn't bad actually. Just not what I expected.

I didn't expect decapitation of that many a time. Although it was a dark comedy, I didn't quite expect that much darkness in the film and I could barely stomach all that blood. However fake it was. Too dark, too bloody, too much slicing. However, I do give Johnny props. He is one versatile actor.

Haha. But I think I handled it wayyyy better than my companions for the day :)

Sorry guys! Thanks for going with me just because I liked Johnny but you came out sicker than a dog :(

Sooo into this song at the mo. Daughtry - Feels Like Tonight.

Rants for the day

Wednesday, January 23, 2008

Teaching can be soooo exasperating. I doubt I was that naughty when I was 9. Ugh.

They're good kids. But they are so mischievous to the point where I feel like pulling my hair out and start screaming like a regular 19 year old. But I can't, you see. Gah. If I had my way, I would give them a good shake. That way, they'll listen a little bit more and I'll get fired that much sooner too. But deep, deep, deeeeeeeeep down they are good kids. They just need a little........ shake.

Seriously, besides the fact that some of them don't listen to me and don't do my work, they are sweet. Always saying hi, always willing to carry my books no matter how little I have(without me having to ask, and constantly BEGGING to carry my books), AND they even gave me birthday presents already. Even though my birthday is a month away, they knew I won't be here till then so they surprised me with gifts already. Sweet kids. All that's lacking is a little more discipline and longer attention span and they would be the perfect bunch to teach.

I'm not complaining whatsoever (well, maybe a little. But just a little). Its not so bad really. They adore me when they aren't torturing me :)

PS: I still haven't had the chance to watch Atonement. And there are great reviews online. James McAvoy = lustworthy. Sigh. I think they stopped showing it in the cinema already. Anyway, gonna catch Sweeney Todd this friday. I neeeed my movie fix la. Its been ages since I last entered the cinema.

Okay. Back to marking papers :(

So Cheeps Won't Kick Me Down The List.

Saturday, January 19, 2008

Yup, this is for Cheeps so that he won't kick me down the ladder.
God knows I've been kicked down far lower before in the past. If I haven't updated in a week, he'll just go, " Die la you. No point putting you on top anymore." Which really isn't quite so high since no one beats HIS blog. But no matter.

Little Emily Bear. So cute. So talented. So jealous. I wish I had that kind of talent. Heck, I wish I had the interest. She performed this song for the first time on " The Ellen Degeneres Show". She wrote it for Ellen. Sweet kid. Yes, I'm an expert of children behaviour now. I can tell you in the first 10 minutes after meeting the child if he/she is an angel or a rascall.

You better appreciate this Cheeps! Or else I'll start making my own list soon.

Yes, this inconsequential post is just another excuse for me not to write anything more substantial. I've been thiking of one to write okay. I have an idea but it's pretty depressing. But knowing the people who read my blog, I guess it'll do.

Anyway, enjoy the music!

The Rotten And The Blind.

Tuesday, January 15, 2008

Gmail is being such a b****.

Now I can't even log in to check my email. Yes, I am waiting for something important. Stupid Gmail.

Ahead: Reading requiring no brain power whatsoever as it lacks substance. Read at your own discretion and don't roll your eyes.

Anyway, I think I saw Jonathan Putra (JP) from Channel V fame today at the gym. I thinkkkk. The guy looked so familiar yet I couldn't quite place him. And since the last time I actually took the time to watch Channel V was donkey years ago, I had high doubts. I wanted to go up to him and his two hot friends to put myself out of the misery (trying to dig my brain from the top to the deepest corners filled with cobwebs) of trying to remember where I had seen him before but I didn't have the guts to do it. I did turn his way more often than not though. Then I stopped because I didn't want to look like a psycho stalker. And everyone else in the gym didn't pay much attention to him so maybe I thought I had it wrong. Just another good looking guy and all that jazz. I came back and looked up his picture, yes I am SOOO the free, and I am 70% sure it was him.

Anyway, just for kicks.

I just have to say this. It would be an abomination if I didn't. I REALLY don't dig the peace signs. No matter how hot you are, peace signs just take away part of your charm. And he has two. Poor guy. So please, just smile :D

Sunday, January 13, 2008

1) I finally edited me layout. It isn't much but I think it suits me well enough. Finally got the hang of editing my template where it pleases me. I want to add more pictures in the side bar so if you have any that you believe needs to be on the Sidebar Of Fame, do tell.

One resolution down lar. More than I have ever accomplished. Waahhaha. BUT to my credit, I've never actually made resolutions in the past years that I actually bothered to remember. So you see, its a huge feat for me considering how lazy I am to look for nice templates and all.

AND yes. I like them simple.

2) I'll blog more about being a part-time teacher soon okay. But please, don't hold me to my word. I never seem to keep it on this blog. I know. Slap me.

It just seems that the mood leaves me more often than I want to let it wonder and then my cerebrum doesn't want to work anymore. Believe me, sometimes I hate being so fickle.

Oh and DO tell me what you think of this layout. Criticism welcomed. Just know that if you criticise too much, I'll never forget it and have this grudge against you for a while. Just for a while :D

Quickie!

Thursday, January 03, 2008

I am soooooooooooo sorry Adeline Heng :(

Haha.I got a job. Doesn't pay much but I'm not really after the money.

Gotta say its challenging. Seriously.

I'm gonna be a part time teacher at a primary school.

First day today and I was dead tired. They demand so much, it's scary.

Before I went into the class, the teachers warned me not to be too nice to them. Yikes. I never follow orders.

A bunch of sweet kids. But I need to be more strict I suppose. Not so manis according to my mentor. Sigh.

I'm even teaching a few of my friends' sisters and brothers la.

Pray for me:) Pray I won't strangle them by the end of the week! Hahhahaha.

A Blessed Christmas.

Tuesday, December 25, 2007

Tis the season to be jolly,
Fa la la la la la la la laaaaaaa! :D

That time of the year is here again.
Caroling the night away, seeing Christmas decorations adorn shopping malls, little kids squealing with glee at the sight of presents and bountiful dinners with loved ones.

Taking time to be with the less fortunate during this season of giving has brought a kinfd of happiness money could never buy. Try it and you'll be surprised ;)

I loveee Christmas :D

And to think it all started with a baby born in a manger on this very day :)

Have you been good all year? Teehee.

A special baby born on this day to bring salvation to all :)

An innocent angel *cough* me *cough* to bring you glad tidings of joy and well wishes.

A Christmas tree for the season.

And finally, a very Blessed Christmas to all at home. May you be abundantly blessed with all the good things life can offer.

What Major Is Right For You?

Wednesday, December 19, 2007

Curtesy of Cheeps :)

WHAT MAJOR IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

You scored as a Psychology/Sociology

You should strongly consider majoring (or minoring) in Psychology, Sociology, or related majors (e.g., Counseling, Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology, Social Work, or other social science majors).

It is possible that the best major for you is your 2nd, 3rd, or even 5th listed category, so be sure to consider ALL majors in your OTHER high scoring categories (below). You may score high in a category you didnt think you would--it is possible that a great major for you is something you once dismissed as not for you. The right major for you will be something 1) you love and enjoy and 2) are really great at it.

Consider adding a minor or double majoring to make yourself standout and to combine your interests. Psychology and Sociology are both great minors to add to any major. Please post your results in your myspace/blog/journal.

Psychology/Sociology -100%
Accounting/Finance/Marketing -88%
English/Journalism/Comm -88%
Nursing/AthleticTraining/Health -81%
Education/Counseling -69%
HR/BusinessManagement -69%
French/Spanish/OtherLanguage -69%
Mathematics/Statistics -63%
Religion/Theology -56%
Biology/Chemistry/Geology -56%
PoliticalScience/Philosophy -50%
History/Anthropology/LiberalArts -38%
Visual&PerformingArts -38%
Physics/Engineering/Computer -25%

Hmmmm. I somehow knew it :) I guess I might as well take up psychology now.

Holidays have been a bore :(

Addicted to Rihanna's - Don't Stop The Music. So catchy.

I think I REALLLLY need to get a job since I won't be starting coll anytime soon and I doubt I'll be able to take another month of doing nothing. Sigh.

I wanna play paintball :) Nobody wants to play with me :(

Gone With The Wind.

Yes, I am still bumming at home while my friends are working during this holiday. I would want to work but I just don't think I have the drive to do so. Another resolution gone out the door.

BUT. I don't sleep all day okay. At least I read most of the time. And I plan to go to the gym at least 4 times a week since I have the time. Heh. Gym resolution isn't exactly working out but I'm trying.

Now I'm busy co-planning the youth caroling.

And the time I spend looking and applying for scholarships.. Bah!

Then I need to go for my IELTS exam. In KL. Sigh. I hate going so far to sit for an exam. I don't wanna sit for another English exam :( I feel it just proves that my language is just not up to par sometimes. I knowla I very kiasu sometimes. And to pay a bloody RM 500 for an exam is just plain extortion. I don't care how much the examiner is getting paid. Fly by AirAsia and sleep in a 3 star hotel next time.

Plus, tomorrow I planned to go to Taylors to settle my fees and results transcripts and I totally forgot that it was their open day :( They'll probably be so busy that they won't be anyone to assist me. Sigh. But I need my transcripts badly.

The end of my rants for the week.

***********

On a happier note.. I've been catching up on my reading. Nothing makes me happier than getting really engrossed in s good book. Or shopping for pretty, pretty clothes, shoes and bags :)Call me a nerd. I really don't care. I don't love to study, but I do enjoy reading. A lot.

Anyway, I just finished this classic book. Perhaps you have heard of it : Gone With The Wind.

People. Don't be stupid. Get your hands on it. Read it. Enjoy it.

Its not a classic written in the 1800's okay. Don't roll your eyes when I mention a classic. I know not everyone loves classics cause its hard to digest it sometimes, the words being so deep and all. But this novel is a modern classic.

Published in 1936 by Macmillan and written by Margaret Mitchell, this maginificent historical epic is a book for all times. Set during the time of the American Civil War, this is really an unforgettable tale of loss, love, families torn apart by war and a people forever changed. This book continues to earn fans and remain a favourite to this day. Set in a time when people had to act a certain way or be forever branded an outcast in society, it is the ultimate love story of beautiful, ruthless Scarlett O'Hara and the dashing, gallant soldier of fortune, Rhett Butler.

Okay, if you don't loveeeee love stories, I can assure you, there isn't more than a few kissess and pecks in the whole book. It is afterall, a fictional story set during war times and during the era of gentlemen and ladies of rich, honourable families. But the reason I love the book is because it really delves into the characters and how they have come to be.

I won't spoil it for you. Read it :)

I even gained knowledge okay. I actually looked up the American Civil War online because I was too caught up in the story and didn't really understand much of the talk of the war. For all you who don't know much about it if you are as clueless about history as much as I was, or am actually, the American Civil War happened from 1861-1865 between the the United States of America (the "Union") and the Southern slave states of the newly-formed Confederate States of America. In short, between the people of the North and the South. The existence of a slave-owning South with an increasingly anti-slavery North made the coming of the war inevitable. It was the bloodiest war in America at the time. I got a bit lost in the book at one point for although I knew what was going on between the characters in the book, I was kind of confused between the slangs they used in the book to describe certain characters. So yeah, I actually learned abit of history from there :)

It is by far the longest fiction book I have ever read at 1010 pages. But it was worth it. Seriously, the characters are just so captivating.

Just so you don't get the wrong idea, the book does not conatain any sexual situations whatsoever. Those are more of romance novels. This book is categorized as more of a historical epic. I say this because a certain cousin of mine saw the cover and automatically considered it "porn" Doink. Anyway, its wayyyyy more mild than what you guys are reading these days :)

Another year is almost over and I'm pondering endlessly again. Among other things :)

Sigh. Feels like I just left high school but that was a year ago. By this time next year, I think it'll sink in that I left my foundation year behind today :)

It was a greaaaat year amidst all the grumbles and rants. Different but great. I was feeling so sentimental after finals today cause I won't be seeing my friends again as often as I did in the past year.

I both love and loathe change.

I've got 3 months to kill.

Time to go college scouting again.

I think I might even get a job :0

Chirstmas is comingggggg :) Saw the chrismas trees in OneU today(although I must admit the decor wasn't very nice) and just felt a sense of peace and tranquility :)

Call me out for luncheons, dinners and movies ya'll!

I know that I have been abandoning this blog. I think I run into writer's block more often than not and even I don't find it fun to read my own writings anymore. Sigh.

Plus, finals are in less than2 weeks and I haven't even wiped that thick layer of dust off my books yet. I am sooooooo screwed.

Recent happenings in my own class has had me worried sick. Honestly, it scared the shyte outta me. I would write about it here but I'll keep the suspense for later. After finals okay.

On a happier note, I'm going to watch Chicago the musical :) How I loveeeeee musicals.

Thanks for visiting my blog guys. Even if you don't stay for more than 5 seconds, I understand.

Resolution before the new year: CHANGE BLOG SKIN.

Off to study now. And Happy Deepavali to all my friends who celebrate it out there. Pointless to wish anyone here cause none of my freinds that celebrate Deepavali read my blog. But it's the thought that counts right?

Yea I'm back from Bali. It was a fun trip and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Shopping especially :D

I'll update more later.

After I finish my mountain of assignments and tutorials. Test next week to study for :( Not too mention finals :( :( :( :( :(

Irritated right now. I know its not something you like to read so I'll stop here. I'm blaming it on partly on PMS. The other part is just his stupidity.

Baliiiiii :)

Off to Bali tomorrow :)

Not too sure if I deserve it but after this shyte week, I really don't care anymore. I want to do some shopping. I've been starving myself of good bargains cause I keep reminding myself I have to save for Bali :D

And thanks for all the erm, comments about my pendrive that got stolen. Yup, he hasn't returned it. Nope, I doubt he ever will. And yes, I am still cursing him. Everyday. I hope he gets hit by a car :)

Just joking la. Fine. I hope he loses something improtant too then. Maybe his assignment that he has to hand in the next day :) Wahahahhaha. I like being mean sometimes.

Pictures when I get back :) IF I'm free/ not too lazy/ don't look horrible/ way too fat/ etc. etc.

Nothing can get worse.

It's been one heck of a shitty week so far. And it's barely been half a week.

Yes, I'm going to rant again. Yes, you may leave this page if you wish.

I don't get it. Does my luck just seem to change overnight or something? Fine fine. I've never had the best of luck like the kind of luck when you find money on the street or when you win a lottery or an expensive BMW. I don't have the kind of luck where I get to see hot guys everyday either. :D

But I don't experience such bad luck like this week has given me lar.

Jeez.

Case 1:

I almost lost my student ID. Yeah lar I know I'm careless. The irony is that I actually told myself that I was bound to lose it if I were to hold it that way. Haih. THEN I actually lost it. As I was searching for it in my locker, bag, between books and papers, I was cursing myself sooo bad. Thank goodness this guy found it and handed it back to me just as I was about to go looking for it outside the library. Kind soul.

Case 2:

Dahlah almost lost my ID. This HAD to happen on the same day. Was doing my research paper using the comp in the library with a friend. Then I left the library cause I had to see a teacher. 10 minutes later I came back and discovered my pendrive was missing. Asked my friend and she said she didn't notice someone took it. She went to the printer to print out something at that time. I suspected the guy using the computer next to me took it by MISTAKE. I checked his computer and found HIS pendrive still there. We opened his pendrive but there weren't any pictures of him. All we knew was the guy used a name 'VIPER'. I couldnt' remember how the guy looked like. Obviously. So we just waited there hoping the guy would come back with my pendrive. Guess what?..............He DID. He came looking for it. Then he said he was sorry that he took mine. So you would expect him to return mine, right? Idiot. He didn't. He said he was rushing cause he had a presentation and that he would call me to return it later. He took my number but I didn't take his. He hasn't called since. Yes. I am stupid for not getting his name. All I know is he is probably an ADP student, studying psycho or biology and he is indian or mix race la or maybe an international student. Couldn't really tell. That jerk. Does it take so much time to call? ALL my research is in that pendrive damnit!! I seriously feel like punching him now. All I can do now is pray he'll return it. He couldn't be so cheap until he will resolve to stealing it right? It's not even worth 50 bucks la that pendrive. GGGGRRRRRRR.

Case 3:

Got back my mid term papers and feel like the stupidest moron in the world. Every paper had careless mistakes. EVERY PAPER. Well, except english since I don't get to see my paper. But I bet I made careless mistakes anyway. Life is so sucky right now.

Case 4:

Computer in the lab hanged on me just as I was going to save something. The data wasn't VERY important but still...

Nothing can get worse.

Nothing to say. Sort of.

Gee. I don't know what's wrong with me. I thought I passed that stage but heck, I'm right back at square one.

And it doesn't feel good. Ok fine. It sucks so bad.

Sometimes I don't know why I need to experience failure before I start working my ass off. Or try to work again.

It's like I never learn. I promise never to repeat the same thing but here I am again. No excuse this time. Back then I guess I wasn't so bright. I made a mistake and it sucked when I got the results.

YES, I am soooo much brighter now. On certain aspects in life :)

But here I am. Talking in riddles. Pondering on the stupidity I'm not proud of possessing at this time in my life.

Why don't I ever learn :( :( :(
