The title says it all I suppose.

I won't deny it. I've always been a Jordin supporter. Contrary to many others, I never liked Blake. But you have your opinion and I have mine. I won't say I hate Blake because I don't. I feel that he is genuinely, a nice guy. He's unique, I'll give him credit for that. But vocally, nah.

Jordin has done consistently well for the past few weeks. So yes, aside from Melinda, I feel that Jordin deserves the crown. The only problem I had with Melinda was her name. Doolittle. Reminds me of that other famous character with the same name. Pretty sure you know who it is. If you don't, then whoa! You have worse general knowledge than me!

I enjoyed Blake's performance during Bon Jovi week. Now, THAT performance was hot. But as I've said before, I never really liked him. I'm gonna miss those weekly disagreeing with my classmate about Blake. Haha. But even he has to admit he flopped on the last song in the finale. But then again, the song wasn't his type of genre. So yeah, I'll agree that it wasn't fair on that account. But I still want Jordin to win! Oh, and I love the dress she wore for that last song! Pretty pretty :) The song wasn't too bad. It was tons better than Katharine McPhee's "My Destiny" last year at least. Apart from one or two corny parts in the lyrics, it was okay. I like it.

We'll see tomorrow. But I really hope she wins.

*edited* SHE WONNNN!!! Congrats Jordin.

I love, love, love, LOVE Milo Ventimiglia( Peter Petrelli in Heroes). Can you say "HOT"! But, he's dating Alexis Bledel. I just found out. Ugh. Foolish enough to think that he might still be single and waiting for me :P. I liked Alexis in Sisterhood but now.... I wanna strangle her. Keep your hands off my man! Yeah, I can count the number of people who used that phrase/line in msn after Good Charlotte came to Malaysia. I don't know why I found it sooo funny.

Gosh. HOT. HOT. HOT.

I don't want it to be a big shock later. But I got another scholarship. Nothings confirmed. I'm not exactly sure what the scholarship offers. I'll let you know if I do decide to take it okay? But I would hate to leave Taylors. Even worse if I had to leave my family and friends. Okay, I'm not gonna think about it since its not even confirmed yet.

FOCUS!

Monday, May 21, 2007

Geeez!
I can't blardy focus on my revising! And I think I screwed up for accounts today :(
I need to come online to do some revision.
But hey, there ARE better things to read (I've expired all my books) than a computer's operating system. Or process writing for English. So here I am, blogging. After I promised myself not to do so until mid terms were over. At the same time, I find every excuse to blog hop. I have such interesting friends. I'm not being sarcastic :)
BB6 was down yesterday. I had the urge to log in yesterday to revise. Now BB6 is back on and the drive to study has vanished. I neeeeed motivation people!
Bah! Fine. Those darn notes are screaming my name.
This isn't exactly a great post but I just feel like ranting for the mo again.

The Story That Didn't Make The Cut.

Monday, May 14, 2007

In case you were wondering, this is the story I wrote for the story writing competition last year during English Week. Its not in these exact words because now I obviously have more time to re write it without grammatical errors ( I hope ), add in a few more dialogs and narrations. But it follows the same plot. Don't be alarmed at how long it may look, its just the spacing :)
I thought it would make the yearbook but it didn't. After five years, I thought I would have something written in the school mag to show I was good enough to write for it. Oh well, that was sometime ago. Anyway, here it is. The story that was good enough to win a small prize but didn't quite make the final cut.

*************

The little girl sat by her bedroom window. Thinking. Thoughts of nothingness clouded her mind, shutting out the reality she didn't want to face. Not just yet anyway.

She rested her elbows on the window sill, cupped her chin in the palm of her hands and stared out the window. It was raining heavily outside. She continued to stare out the window, listening to the rhythmic tapping of the raindrops against the glass of her window. The raindrops fascinated her for a reason she could not place. Unconsciously, she reached out a hand in an attempt to touch the raindrops. Instead, her fingers came in contact with the cold, hard surface of the glass window. The glass felt like something she had grown used to feeling. Cold, she thought. That was what everything felt to her these days. She pulled back her hand and rested both hands on her lap.

It was then that she noticed that her fingers were wet. The all too familiar taste of salty tears were then felt on her lips. Strange, she thought, as she wiped away the tears that were slowly running down her cheeks with the back of her hand; she didn't think she had any tears left to shed, after crying herself to sleep every night for the past week.

The sound of chatter brought her back to reality. It took her a moment longer to remember where she was and for the noise to register in her mind. Ah, yes. Her bedroom. The funeral. Her family's funeral. The guests. Relatives. Friends of her parents. She remembered being downstairs. Giving a smile to people, some of which she didn't recognise at all. The smile she gave never reached her eyes. They would have noticed if they cared to look hard enough.

The noise grew louder. People were starting to wonder where she was. At the back of her mind, she knew she should have stayed downstairs. They were not stupid, those people. They would soon wonder what happened to her. Yet, she didn't stand up to go downstairs and merely remained seated on her chair, facing the window. She yearned for a moment of solitude that was hers alone.

"Dawn, honey, there you are"

The little girl was vaguely aware of the soft voice that called her name. It sounded familiar at least. She turned her head in the direction of the voice. Her eyes landed on the small, rounded frame of her grandmother, standing at her bedroom door. The little girl didn't say a word and riveted her gaze to her window and the rain outside.

"Honey, are you alright?"

She felt the soft hands of her grandmother on her shoulder. The little girl didn't respond to the question, fearing that if she said a word, she would crack. And she didn't want to crack.

"Dawn, say something. The guests are starting to wonder what happened to you. There are lots of people downstairs. They are concerned for you"

At that, the little girl turned her head to face her grandmother once again.

"They would, wouldn't they?", she said in a soft whisper, a voice that was a barely her own.

"They always ask the same questions. Is she okay? How is she? How is she taking it? ", the little girl said, her voice becoming stronger with each passing syllable.

" They know how I feel. They know! Yet they ask the same questions. I'm tired, ma. I'm tired of giving them the same answer. The lies I tell to make them feel better. I can't take it. I just can't. No more. No more "

At that, she broke down crying, the walls of her self-control crumbling. She cried. Tears she had only allowed herself to cry at night, under her blanket of comfort, spilled onto her cheeks, rolling steadily down her face. Her shoulders shook with the force of her tears.

She was aware of the soft pressure of her grandmother's hands as they gently led her to the bed. She sat down and crawled into the warm comfort of her grandma's arms.

She cried. For how long, she didn't know. Finally, her tears eased a bit as she regained some control over them.

" It was supposed to be our yearly trip. You know, the family vacation we take every year to the mountains. John was so happy because he had waited all year for it. He loved the outdoors. He always said he was going to be an environmentalist when he grew up. Such strong ambition for a boy of 6 "

The little girl let herself be swept into the story as she recalled that fateful day.

" Mom and dad were so happy to bring us there. They knew we enjoyed it. We usually left town early because it was a long drive to the mountains and dad hated driving at night. But the car wouldn't start properly that day. We thought we had to cancel the trip. John nearly cried when I told him that "

The little girl wiped away a stray tear and continued with her story.

" But the car started properly at the last minute. We would reach the mountains by nightfall if we started out that day. Dad suggested that we drive up there the next morning but John and I refused to waste more time. After much pestering, we won dad over. He could never say 'no' to us. He was like that. Dad said we could sleep in the car and he would wake us up when we reached the mountains."

"Ma", the little girl said and looked up into the familiar, caring face of her grandmother.

"We wouldn't listen to daddy. We should have. We should have. Now...now..." the little girl buried her face in her grandmother's arms again, a new wave of tears flowing from her swollen eyes.

" I can't even remember how it happened. When I woke up, I was in the hospital. I didn't even know what was going on. Ma, why? Is it my fault? Why did this happen to me? What wrong did I do? ", the little girl said, anguish in her voice.

" Child, its not your fault. It never was. It was an accident. An accident even you couldn't prevent."

" Why did I survive then? My whole family died. I should have died with them. There's no point in me living anymore. There's nothing left for me in this world. Nothing."

Her grandma kept silent. Then said " Dawn, have you ever wondered about me and grandpa? About your friends? How thankful we were that you are alive? "

Dawn looked up, struck by the thought.

" We were all so glad you were alive. We were expecting the worst when we heard that your parents had died in the car crash. We assumed the worst, about you and John. But you lived. You lived. The pain we feel about losing your parents and brother, you can't imagine. But you being alive gave us the comfort we needed. "

Her grandma looked at the little girl, tears forming at her own eyes.

" We hurt too, Dawn. We know your pain. Maybe you feel it more, but we know, we understand. Believe me, we know how much it hurts that sometimes we just wished we could not feel anything at all then live with this pain. But then there's you. The miracle that survived. And we are thankful that you survived."

The little girl kept silent for a moment, pondering this new thought.

" But why, Ma? Why did God take them from me? He knows I need them. They were a part of me..."

" They left us too. Maybe you'll find the answer to that someday. We will never truly know why. But He has a purpose. It may not make sense now, but it will in time. "

" In time? " the little girl questioned.

" In time "

The little girl nodded her head, feeling a slight burden lifted of her little shoulders. What her grandmother said was true after all. She knew it to be.

It didn't answer all her questions. A thousand more remained unanswered. But she would take her time to answer them. In time.

" Come, child. Lets go downstairs. "

" Can I stop smiling? I don't feel like smiling. I don't mind talking, but I can't smile. "

" Dawn, no one ever expected you too. Laugh when you want to and cry when you want too. That's part of being human."

The little girl nodded once again.

" Come, lets go."

" You go ahead. I'll be down in a minute."

Her grandmother nodded, kissed her forehead and left the room.

The little girl sat on the edge of the bed for another minute, looking out her window. The rain had died down to a light drizzle.

From her bed, she could see that the sun was beginning to shine through her window. She took it as a sign.

She got off her bed, walked to the door. She took one last look out her window, switched off the lights, and closed the door.

The End.

It Doesn't End Here.

It never really hit me that my friends would never always be by my side, guiding me in their own way through life's journey. Much has changed since I left high school. Nevertheless, I'm happy for them. They are heading for bigger things in life. Don't forget me ya. I won't forget you, I promise. It won't end here, our friendship.

Aliah. We were not childhood friends. Can't deny that. Heck, I don't think we even talked to each other in primary school and for the first three years in secondary school I don't think we talked much either. But hey, things changed. For the better. Getting to know you has definitely been one of the joys in my life. I'll miss our movie dates when you leave. I'm really happy that you got your scholarship though. In the meantime, I hope you get to do your foundation in Taylors :) You deserve it. Once again, congrats. Remember me when you become a famous engineer dear.

Mae. You too. We never uttered two words to each other in primary school. I don't even know if you knew who I was back then. I knew you of course. The smartest kid in school is never anonymous. The first 3 years in secondary school wasn't any different. But OH. Come form 4 and things definitely changed. You've become so much more than a friend. The girl with the big laugh has grown up :) But you aren't leaving yet hor? Heh. This was just meant to be a congratulating post. So... congrats!! I know how much you wanted that scholarship. The pressure must be off now. See, I told you to check the results :D

Ai Lyn and Jasmine. Life's short. But hey, God made it that our paths would cross even if it was for a few months. College life was made more fun with you guys as classmates. Sadly, one by one, you guys left. I remember how Ai Lyn was the first person to talk to me on the first day of college. Awkward as I felt, I didn't feel awkward around her. Sweet Jasmine. She's been so patient in helping me with my accounts. Thanks girl. Now the two of you have left me. But hey, I couldn't be more happy for you guys. Besides, I still have the rest of the girls to keep me company. I got no complaints. And as much as I hate to admit it, the guys are actually quite entertaining. Remember our promise, Jasmine, about the angmohs :) Oh, before I get carried away, congrats on your scholarships. I know how badly you guys wanted them.

Another friend, Soo Hean has left for another scholarship as well. Sorry I don't have a picture to post up. He is always the one reminding me that I have left my bottle at places,be it at lecture theater, tutorial classes or even at places where we have our breaks. What am I gonna do without you reminding me now? :( And I'm gonna miss you because now, I won't get free notes anymore :( :( Haha! Joking okay. Congrats on your scholarship as well. Remember to bring back Hyun Bin for me :) Or the very least get me a signed autograph.

Reminiscence

Well I miss Mayberry
Sitting on the porch drinking ice cold Cherry Coke
Where everything is black & white
Picking on a Six String
Where people pass by and you call them by their first name
Watching the clouds roll by
bye bye
*
It's been some time. I was suddenly hit with an unexpected wave of nostalgia today.

I had the urge to learn Chemistry and Additional Maths again. Physics even. Reminiscing with some of my college mates today since they, too, were science students just brought back so many great memories of high school life. For all my complains about the subjects I greatly disliked in school to the teachers, I really would not trade my high school memories for anything. I really don't know why I was suddenly thinking about high school so much. Maybe after going back there on Saturday and having some nice chats with old friends and teachers triggered something. In a good way. Laugh all you want but I missed high school so much for a moment there that I actually felt like crying. It would have been so embarrassing if I had just suddenly burst out crying for no reason today :(

Then I came home from college and turned on my lappy. Unknowingly, songs I were addicted to last year started playing. I didn't even realise just how much I had missed them because I hadn't listened to them in a while. They just brought back times of laughter with my babes. I miss all of them now. Was hit with another wave of nostalgia. God, I miss all my ex-classmates now.

When the rain falls
It’s like heaven’s crying
When the name’s all
The difference that there is
Cause tears are
The same when they are trying to grow something good
Out of all the pain
There’s no difference between the teardrops and the rain.

Why?

Sara: God, why wasn't I born musically inclined? That way, I would actually have more interest in the piano and not worry about failing my practical exam that is looming oh so close :(
God: Because you are Sara. I made you to love books more. Much, much more.
Sara: But I love music too :(
God: What do you call your singing in the shower then?
Sara: Oh. But nobody hears me sing in the shower.
God: You are just undiscovered. Anyway, we'll continue this discussion later. Go study for your accounts and BCP test. Its tomorrow, you know. And don't forget your English speech. And the English presentation. And the two Malaysian Studies assignments you haven't touched. Not to mention the econs lecture you missed.
Sara: Yes. I remember. *Sigh*

Did Ya Miss Me?

Probably didn't know I was gone right?
No matter. I didn't tell the whole world anyway :)

I was in Kuching, Sarawak since Saturday. It was just a short holiday with a big group of my relatives and close friends of my parents. Just got back today. Living without the internet was manageable for a few days but I was beginning to yearn for it. The hotel required you to spend 40 bucks for a broadband card to use their internet facilities. Cheapskates. And they call themselves a 5 star hotel.

ANYWAY.. That was about the only downside of this trip. We stayed at Damai Beach Resort which is under the Holiday Inn group. We requested a seaside view.

We did go on tour in those few days. We visited some orang utans in the Semenggoh Wildlife Centre.

Say helloooo to George. When I first heard his name, it reminded me of this guy who migrated to US or UK already. We met in primary school but we weren't close. I doubt we uttered more than 20 words to each other. He probably doesn't remember me :( We didn't talk much anyway.

We went jungle trekking in Bako National Park. I'm just not made for the outdoors. Seriously. But since we already paid for it... The path was not easy okay. Do I look like I am built for these kind of escapades?

LOOK at those steps. I tell you, its a miracle I survived. I didn't exactly come prepared for this hike okay. I had to go through THAT in THESE.

Flip flops! And they weren't even mine :( I felt so bad about dirtying them. Sorry!!. BUT I made it. The whole way. Through all those icky icky things and slime. Those pictures I posted are the easy parts of the trail. I couldn't take pictures during the parts when I had to really watch where I was going or risk falling into some humongous hole. I AM strong. Here me roar :)

We visited the Sarawak Museum as well. Cameras weren't permitted inside. God knows why. I am promoting them you know when I post up these pics. They should thank me. They had all these cultural stuff and some really random stuff like the skeletal remains of a whale. I still don't believe those bones were real. I can't remember much. I was more taken by all the head hunting history :)

If I wanna stick out my tongue and do THIS at the same time, I WILL!

We visited a cat museum obviously. Well, it is Kuching after all. Might as well milk its name for all its worth.
Tried my hand at pottery. I made a pretty darn good almost top of a vase:)

Although I enjoyed my stay here, I don't think I could live here permanently. Its a nice place, Kuching. But there really isn't much entertainment for the locals here. There is only ONE cinema in the whole of Kuching. ONE cinema for a population of 2.2 million. I couldn't believe it. The biggest shopping complex is 5 times smaller than Summit. And the shops there... needs no explaining.

The lone cineplex.

This little chap here was born with a gold spoon in his mouth. My cousins are rich. Enough said. The whole family dotes upon him every second of the day. The guy is wearing clothes from Guess, Esprit and Nike. He wears Adidas sport shoes, Quiksilver slippers and Crocs. Whatever happened to Kiki Lala for kids? The next time I see him, I won't be surprised to see him in Armani or Gucci.

Btw, try out the Envy Me fragrance by Gucci. It was love at first smell I tell you.

Currently hooked on Thanks For The Memories by Fall Out Boy and Nothing Good About Goodbye by Hinder.

BCP Is Just Not My Cup Of Tea.

Thursday, April 26, 2007

I so screwed up my BCP test today. Smack those who said it was easy. Its not like I'm such a whiz that I can actually afford to give up my precious marks and hope to score better in future tests and exams okay. There's another test next week. And its not an open book test. :( I want a HD! So when I get the hardcopy of my results, I will have solid prove I mastered whatever I'm supposed to be learning now. Bah. I'll try la.

Its so hard being in a class with whiz kids. They just go tap, tap, tap on that darn keyboard. By the time they have typed a hundred words, I'm still typing about forty. Yes, I'm that slow. Those guys aren't supposed to be so smart anyway. Wait, I'm not supposed to be so dense.

Btw, you wanna see Heng embarrass herself? Not like she doesn't do it on a regular basis, but these are just SO extra funny. It reflects her crazy attitude. I love her for that. Muax Heng!

Watch This.

Tuesday, April 24, 2007

Elliot Yamin looks hot now. He did something to his teeth. His eyes aren't half bad either :)

Maybe you don't remember him. He was last year's American Idol 2nd runner up. I never really liked him but he sure won over mum. She adores him. Anyway, he lost out to Taylor Hicks and Katharine McPhee. Before the finals, I thought that if Katharine couldn't win, I had hoped that it would be Elliot. I sure hope the dude succeeds this time. Hopefully he will make as much of an impact as Chris Daughtry who proved that he didn't need to win AI to make it. He certainly deserves it. His mommy must be so proud :)

Just A Drifting Thought.

The new generation of dads will sport earrings. I find that weird in a way. I guess its because I've been brought up in an era where dads just don't wear earrings. Sure I've heard of some who do, but the majority of them don't. Guess their kids will have it easy. I mean, if you have an earring, you can't exactly tell your son he can't have one. What a way to contradict yourself. But maybe its a good thing. If a child ever wonders if his/her dad was ever a kid once, they just have to look at the earring. Yes, your dad was a kid once. He might have been a rebel :)

I am beginning to despise long fingernails on guys. I don't care if you hate me for saying this. Honestly, what do guys see in it? Only girls look good with long fingernails. Its not like guys actually use nail varnish or anything. I see a guy with long fingernails and I shudder. Its not that I don't like the you as a person. I just don't like your fingernails. Don't give me some lame excuse that you need to play the guitar or something like that. That's why guitar picks were made. Some sensible guy who loved to play the guitar probably created them because he knew that long fingernails on a guy is just a turn off. I salute the maker of the first guitar pick. I'm making this up but I think its reasonable. Personally, I love the various designs one can find on guitar picks nowadays. I find them really cute :)

I've been in a temperamental mood these last few days. So I know my posts have been quite critical. I just feel annoyed every time I blog. So I pick out the latest thing that's bugging me. Maybe I'm just PMS-ing. I say maybe because although I have really bad PMS, it usually doesn't last for more than two days. I've been in a rotten mood for the last few days. Hormones are such a nuisance at times.

Pet Peeve.

Thursday, April 19, 2007

So it was expected. The presentation didn't go well. I know I should not feel disappointed. But it still hurts to think we could have done better. Anyway, its over.

Pet peeve at the moment : Inconsequential chain mail.

Yeah, I get annoyed when I receive such emails. They clog up my inbox and I just do not like that. So please, don't forward them to me. I just delete them. Look, I appreciate the thought but I just do not have the patience to read them. I only read forwarded emails that make some sense or are thought provoking.

I do not like messages that tell me I need to forward one message to 10 people and hope to receive it back to know I am loved. I already know that I am. I do not care that I will have 10 years of bad luck if I do not re post or forward the message. Heck, I do not bother that I will get 10 years of good luck if I forward the message either. I do not believe a dead person will come and haunt me or crawl out from under my bed. I do not need to forward an email to tell people I love them. If I love you, you'll hear it from me face to face. Just so you know, I am still your friend even if I do not send it back to you. And I know you are my friend. Plain and simple. I do not want any soppy forwarded love messages either. Forward them to your boyfriend/girlfriend only because in reality you will never say that to me. I do not believe I will have 10 years of bad luck in relationships for not forwarding it. Oh, since I am already ranting on this topic, please do not forward chain mail in Friendster either. It gets on my nerves. Friendster isn't closing down. If it does, then too bad. It ain't the end of the world.

Geeee.... Whose the girl who is going to flunk her presentation tomorrow?

I am not in a good mood. Do not aggravate me. You have been warned.

Monday, April 16, 2007

I love being random. If you hate it, then leave. No one is stopping you.

1) I am a klutz. I make the most klutzy person look graceful.

Reasons to justify my reasoning :

a) Now that I've moved to a condo, I have to walk considerably more than usual than when I was living in a house. To my unit I mean. Sometimes I have to walk from the guard house even, well, just because I can't drive up the slopes to the car park yet. ANYWAY, there are many, MANY pillars on the way to the lift in my building. So sometimes, I just don't feel like looking at the guards that constantly roam my building. You understand. So I would walk with my head bowed down until I reach the lifts. I notice them huge pillars a mile away though. Who wouldn't? Yes, as blind as I am I can still see them. Heck, I live here. So.. I walk, and walk, and walk. AND almost bang my head against the pillar. Seriously, you'd think a girl would have noticed she was walking head on into a pillar that was far from transparent. You haven't seen me. OH. This has hapenned so many times, I am still shocked that I haven't knocked my head once. Yes, I always stop 2 cm away from the pillar. Look up at it as if noticing it for the first time, shake my head AGAIN at my stupidity, and walk around it.

b) Tired of almost walking into pillars, I walk at the other side of the road to the lifts sometimes. I guess me being klutzy is inborn. If its not pillars I'm walking into, its dustbins and benches. Makes it even worse when I can OBVIOUSLY see the dustbin when I walk with my head bowed down. As height deprived as I am. Just so you know, I walk with my head bowed down sometimes not because I don't want to smile at the guards. There's this thing called the sun?

c) I trip ever so often. When I enter a new place to eat persay. I'd be walking with my friends and whoopsss. Some will even be walking in front of me and I'll see them step up the curb or step. Yet, when its my turn, I go blind and almost trip. Most of the time, I won't look at where I am going and end up tripping because I didn't see a small step going down. And I don't recover quick enough to make it seem as if I had purposely intended to miss that step. Or walk into it for the millionth time. On the contrary, I make one hell of a commotion.

d) I love my heels. When you are vertically challenged, you can't help but love 'em. I can walk in them at least. I think I've done okay so far considering my history. BUT. Yeah, theres always a but. I still can't manage walking up steps in heels. Please don't ask why. The end of my heels hate me for some reason. They just refuse to be on the steps I'm walking up. So, I ONLY walk near the railings. That way, when the end of my heels miss the step they are supposed to be on, I can hang on for dear life to the railings. Eh, sometimes the steps are tiny okay. A very good example? Go to TBS. Yeah, my feet are small. And I find the steps there small. Its a wonder I haven't done worse harm to myself other than miss a the occasional step and trip with my super heavy books.

e) I walk into people a lot. Not on purpose okay. I just like to walk backwards sometimes. And obviously I don't look if there are people behind me. So yeah. I am sorry if I stepped on your precious shoes. Or hit your arm. Or just plain make you stumble. For the record, I do apologize profusely.

f) I bump into things. Doors, tables, chairs, mirrors, cupboards, etc. This needs no embarrassing explanation.

2) I am a picky egg eater.

YES, I like my eggs well cooked. NO, I don't like 'em to be half cooked. I don't like them stuffed into my paus and curry puffs. I don't fancy egg sandwiches either. I still do not understand why some people can like that. I love the yolk and not the white. But I will still eat the white if I have no choice. I don't like eating hard boiled eggs. I love them fried. Omelettes are good too.

3) I am blind at times. Not literally.

YES, I am vain. So what if I don't like to wear my specs? So what if I can't see that hot guy standing at the other end of the road? There are plenty more out there. Besides, I just like to look at them, give them the once over and then forget about them. I don't stalk them ;) Neither do I think about them.

4) I am a business student. And I am enjoying it.

Person 1 : So what are you studying now?
Sara : I am doing a business foundation *smiles*
Person 1 : OH. I thought you would be doing a science course. So 'smart'. *gives me a totally disinterested look*
Sara : *Sheeeesh. So what? Do you think I am stupid now?*

Person 2 : So what are you studying now?
Sara : I am doing a business foundation *smiles*
Person 2 : Oh. * gives me the look. She ain't that bright la...*
Sara : * I caught that look*
Person 2 : (changes the subject)
Sara : * probably thinks I can't handle discussing my future since I am only a business student*

Person 3 : So what are you studying now?
Sara : I am doing a business foundation *smiles*
Person 3 : What?! WHY??!! You were a science student!! So smart why do business? Wasted only your science subjects in secondary school.
Sara : Oh, cause I don't think I am very interested in science .*why must you emphasize on the word business like that?* *so if I do business means I am not smart already?*
Person 3 : You should do science la. Anyone can do business.
Sara : *internally rolling my eyes. If you haven't done it, don't act like you have*

Sometimes I just feel like asking them straight in their face if they think I am not smart because I am not doing a science course. So what if I am not studying about electrons or velocity? I choose not to study about electrolisis or the speed of sound. I choose not to study about microorganisms. I just don't have a lot of interest in it. I can't remember all that scientific terms. I enjoyed it during my high school years. But thats about it. I just don't see myself making a profession out of it. Sure, a business course is not as complex as a science course, but it doesn't mean I lack intellectual acuity. I know that. I would love to see the look on the faces of all those who doubted me when I make my first 6 figure salary. Better yet, I'm going to be a CEO :D

5) I wonder how motivators stay positive all the time.

I like giving people advice. I can't say the same for myself. I can't always see the bright side of everything. I can't live as I preach. And so I try not to always give people advice if I really don't believe what I am saying. How do motivators do it? Are they always so positive 24/7? Do they always see the silver lining in every bad thing? Is there always a silver lining in every bad incident?

6) I sometimes wish I had a big talent.

I know I am not musically inclined. I can't play the piano to save my life. Maybe I am a singer deep down :) HAHA. Ok. Stop laughing. I wish I had an interest in photography then. Or maybe as a painter! I could have been the next Picasso, Da Vinci, Raphael or Michelangelo!

7) I sometimes wish I had a great interest in something.

If I can't do it, I wish I could appreciate it. Like the arts for example. I wish I could just look at a painting and tell you something significant about it or the painter. Like if he cut off his ear or something. Heck, I wish I could just identify the paintitng and the painter. I find the arts interesting but I just can't remember it after some time. I have always been interested in Greek Mythology. But I can't remember all the stories I've read about after a while. Aih.

8) I want to be interested in history.

If I were, studying for it wouldn't be so darn boring. I kind of like Egyptian history. Then again, I can't remember much about it. Sorry, Malaysian history just does not interest me. Call me unpatriotic, I couldn't care less.

9) I have no respect for beggars. Period.

I look at them and think " They can work for a decent leaving". They are old. So what? I've seen many old people out in the streets making an honest albeit poor living. I have more respect for the old lady who goes around selling cakes then I do for beggars. Its a different story if they are handicapped. I somehow feel sorry for them. But come on. The beggars I see are smoking. They loiter outside the church in hopes that we will give them some money because we feel sorry for them. They are so poor yet they can afford to smoke? Makes me sick.

I just have to let this out.

Todays trip was okay. Not spectacular. Honestly, it leans towards boring and pointless. I am going to be lying when I write my reflective journal later. What to do? :( We can't be anonymous when we submit them.

*

Honestly, I didn't think Malaysian Studies would be that bad. I tried to stay positive. All the complains about LAN subjects from my friends, I tried to ignore. My positivity only lasted for so long. Can't say I didn't try.

Can't say I love the teacher either. Can't blame her though. I would be bored to tears if I were to teach Malaysian Studies for the 6th year running. Then again, I'll give her some credit. Maybe she DOES love it. I dont' believe it, but I'll pretend too.

Btw, my eyes hibernate when I enter the class. :D

*

Second week of classes and I already feel the strain of my workload. And to think I was complaining about my first semester being too boring. I take back those words. Please, let me take them back. Some prioritizing is in high demand here. *Looooooong sigh*

*

Okay. Off to do my Businees Computing now. I don't want to fail this class. Somehow, I don't feel that confident.

Of Goodbyes And Envious Feelings.

Monday, April 02, 2007

Some of my college friends have left. They hope to get better scholarships. If they don't get it, they still aren't coming back. I miss them already.

I'm not proud of this next bit. Truthfully, I feel a lil'....... envious. I wish I didn't, but I just can't help it. Sometimes, I wish they wouldn't go. I know. I know its stupid to feel this way. Selfish even. I mean, if I had the chance, I would totally leave for better things too. So who am I to say they can't strive for better things in life when given the chance ? I wouldn't want to won't contradict myself.

Maybe this can be a form of motivation for me. It will motivate me. Seeing my friends leave makes me believe and have higher hopes that I'll have my chance to make my mark in this big ol' world one day. I will see much more of this world before I leave it. I pray I will.

As much as I want to view this parting as a good thing for both parties, I still wish this feeling of envy hadn't even surfaced.

Ok. *smacks self* Stop willowing in self pity . Because I know that deep down I really do. Feel happy for them, that is.

Two of them have left. It was so sweet of them to drop by today to say goodbye. I realy hate goodbyes. I mean goodbyes when you actually mean goodbye. Not the I'll see you tomorrow kind of goodbye. I didn't think Iwould feel so sad since I've only known them for about 3 months. I guess you never really can tell how much some people have grown on you.

Thursday, March 29, 2007

I still do not know how I let myself get talked into situations like this. I must be more hard headed!.. Its hard when you're out numbered two to one though. Sigh. At least I got some good screams in.

I never liked horror movies ( I still don't! ) BUT...........

I actually prefered the horror movie I watched today compared to Bridge To Terabithia ( I can see some people smirking right about now. I know who you are ). Honestly, I just didn't get the whole one - minute - its - fantasy - and - the - next - it - isn't plot of BTT. No insult intended to all you BTT fans. You like it, I don't. At least the horror movie had some understandable plot albeit some bad acting. I will NEVER set foot in the cinema to watch another horror movie. I said this before but this time I mean it. My fragile (chicken) heart can't take no more. I love my lights switched on for horror movies with pillows to hug and to cover my eyes and a much more comfy couch to lie back on.

Sunday, March 25, 2007

Its currently 8.54 in the morning and I am blogging because I just have nothing to do now. I rather not browse through friendster for the gazzilion-th time. Or check my email account for that matter since none of my friends email each other at this God - forbid - anyone - should - be - awake - at - this - time - except - me hour. Adeline will have something to say about this. :(

I think I am currently going through this phase where I love music inspired by the fifties. Mum says its G.I. music. There's just something unique about them. Kudos to Xtina Aguilera for getting me interested. Although I'm not a big fan of her, its hard not to love her for the moment. She looks so hot in her new video. Only girls like Xtina, Gwen and Scarlet can make that shade of lipstick look hot and not like some clown. Hehe. I am currently hooked on Candyman. Hurt and Ain't No Other Man was good too. Just listen to her latest album, Back To Basics. Its different. Thats all I can say :D I am not in any way promoting her album. If you hate her, its fine by me. This album is just a rough idea about the music I am currently into.

Oh. Since I am being random now, listen to this song by Haley James-Scott. Its called Halo. I stumbled upon it while watching season 3 of One Tree Hill.

Believe it or not.

Monday, March 19, 2007

Believe it or not, I'm walking on air
I never thought I could feel so free
Flying away on a wing and a prayer
Who could it be?
Believe it or not its just me.

*********************************************

Presentation....over.
Finals................over.
Driving exam...over.

Passed 2/3. Haven't gotten my results for finals yet though.

I feel so freeeeeeeee. Anyone up for movies?

I am a confused being.

Wednesday, March 14, 2007

The whole hype about SPM results has died down a little. I think.
I'm still a little unsure about my feelings towards my results to be honest.
I feel confused for some reason.
I think I'm feeling somewhere between satisfied - euphoric.
When people congratulate me, I just nod as it is only polite.
At least they feel happy for me. At least they feel something.

Thursday, March 01, 2007

I feel as if a landslide of work has suddenly come crashing down on me. And it sucks to be honest. Usually I strive on being occupied but this is just too much. You know whats worst? Its the fact that I've been doing this assignment for soooo long and yet I feel as if I never really progressed from day one. It kills me to think that I'm not as productive as I thought I was. I guess a reality check is in order right now. I know my priorities ain't straight but I just didn't realize they were sooooo way off track. Things don't get any better when some news come up that seem to crash with what my plans.

Here's the deal. I've got this presentation next Tuesday. I've busted my ass for like the longest of time, seriously putting time into this presentation, and it just may not work out because I have this thing called stage fright. Heard of it? Empathize with me.

Finals are in less than 2 weeks. I haven't started revising. I'm not particularly worried about maths, unless they dock more points for seriously stupid-even-my-sister-could-understand answers. I missed out this totally small working leading to the answer that anyone in their right mind could understand and they docked my marks. Honestly, I feel as if I'm being taught to be stupid, as one of my teachers once kindly put it. Wise words indeed. On the other hand, I'm totally freaked out about English. I know. I must have sunk quite low to worry about English. But I want my HD. It kills me that the one subject I thought I was good at and actually thought I could do well in prove that I'm not all that. For the record, I don''t think I'm all that. Just better than my current state.

Then there's this thing called SPM results. Truthfully, I do not feel anything at the moment. Not happy or worried or whatever people in my situation are supposed to be feeling. I have friends who say they probably won't get good shuteye till the day actually comes. One even said he/she will probably miss college for the whole day to go and collect the results. He/she has plans to celebrate his/her results I reckon. I sincerely hope I'll be able to join you. A part of me wants to bury it forever and never knowing how I fared yet another part frankly, is dying to know how well/badly I did. Actually I just hope it was good. BUT the day the results come out somewhat clashes with my finals. To take or not to take my results? That is the question. If I did as well as my expectations, I will continue with my finals in a totally euphoric state. The possibility of missing out on a HD may not even dampen my mood. If it doesn't turn out well, I'll just start writing a long apology letter to my almost bright future. I'll even throw in a few teardrops for good measure. I'm not being pessimistic. I'm just being real.

Oh it doesn't stop there. Driving test. I do not, I repeat, do not want to fail this. My instructor thinks I'll be ready. I still can't do my slope correctly. He'll probably cry when he sees me rolling back on the slope. I want more confidence. I think I'll pay any price for that. I'll buy some for my presentation as well.

If your eyes have reached this point, I seriously hope you did not waste any precious time reading this. I just wanted to share some 'joy'. Heh.

Have a happier day to all reading this.

God is Good.

The best family in the world?
I got them.

The best relatives?
I got them.

The greatest cousins?
I got them.

The sweetest, nicest, fabulous, money-can't-buy friends?
I got them.

The best 18th birthday?
I'm sooooo blessed to have had :D

Gong Xi Fa Cai!!

On this happy, happy time, I promise I won't start ranting on anything trivial.

Not about how much I despise my lack of will power when good food starts pouring in. Yee Sang is soooo yummy.

Not about how I dread the thought that I may not be able to fit into my clothes by the time college starts again. Not to mention the clothes I just bought for CNY and my birthday.

Not about how I've already been gaining weight even before CNY started.

Oooopps. Guess I didn't exactly keep my promise :). Teehee.

ANYWAY, I won't dampen your spirits lar. Enjoy the new year keeping in mind all the things that mean the most to each of us.

Once again,

Happy Chinese New Year to you and all at home.

PS: Await my arrival at your house. Ang pows, here I come!

Monday, February 12, 2007

As far as stupid mistakes go, I've made one of the stupidest mistakes of all. Such simplicity in a question and yet my puny, addled cerebrum could not comprehend.

Goodbye HD. It was nice for a fleeting moment when I thought you were in my grasp :(

I am going to wallow in self pity now.

Me. Bored. Yup.

Friday, February 09, 2007

I am bored out of my wits.

Business Maths and ECS mid-terms are next week.

I am currently aware that my time being wasted writing this post yet I can do no thing about it.

I should be studying.

Studying is what I should be doing.

Somebody needs to give me a reality check.

Sigh.

I want to do some

probably here.

But of course...... I do not possess such moolah.

CNY is coming.

Yikes. The weight is coming back on.

Packing Part 2

Sunday, January 28, 2007

Right right.

Back to packing.

Actually I'm sort of embarassed bout this next bit. DO keep in mind that I did this next thing many, many, many, MANY years ago.

While cleaning out one of my cupboards, I found these.

Do not laugh. Or cry. Or roll your eyes.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.

YUP. Britney Spears. The ex-Princess of Pop. Notice that these pictures were taken wayyyyy back when she was little miss innocent. She still had a decent amount of clothes on. Its a far cry from the Britney who doesn't wear knickers that we see ever so often in the gossip news today. Back then at least she wore undergarments. At least I think so. Unless she always had this little fetish for not wearing them. She could have pulled it off, since she didn't expose that much back then . Whatever.

Ok I'll admit it. I used to be an avid Britney fan back then. Yes, wayyy back then. She was the sweet lollipop princess of pop. And she had the figure and looks although not the voice. But she had catchy tunes that soared up the pop charts. With record breaking albums and what not.

When I found these pictures, I remembered that I had wanted to make Britney scrapbook. Believe me, it wasn't easy getting all those pictures. I think I bought every single magazine that featured her back then. Constantly scouted the newspapers as well.

Every little gossip about her I kept. Btw, I used to like one of her dancers. Heh. Its the guy at the far left.

Silly, I know. What can I say, maturity hadn't caught up to me at that point in life. Anyway I'll post more, er, interesting stuff next time.

There really isn't much going on in my life now. I don't have thought provoking musings at the moment. I'm just waiting for an inspiration of some sort I guess.

Friday, January 19, 2007

Just for you Adeline!...Look closely at one of the pictures. Hope you like it!

Packing Part 1

Wednesday, January 17, 2007

Moving, apart from being tiresome surely has its perks.

I get a new bed.
I get a new wardrobe.
I get a new study table.
I get new bookshelves.
I get new sofas, furniture, etc.
I get a new dining table.
I get a spectacular view of my surrounding area at night.
And etc, etc.

I think I've adapted well to my new surroundings. Its certainly different. But I'm fine and dandy.

Now packing. It was tiresome. As much as I wanted to savor a new surrounding, I dreaded the task of packing all my belongings and getting them sent to my new home. Thank goodness we hired a lorry for that.
Packing ment spending, possibly hours, considering the things that I have stashed away in places I don't even remember, putting my belongings into cardboard boxes, sealing and labeling them. It was tedious.
Yes yes, I'm lazy. I never denied that. Sue me.

Anyway guess what I found during those endless ours of packing?
Guess guess!!

This!

Yes its my long forgotten Sailormoon sticker collection. It sure brought back plenty of sweet memories from my childhood.

There was a time when I used to be fanatic over stickers. Sailormoon stickers in particular. Its probably been years since I've actually set eyes on these. It was honestly nice to reminisce about a time when stickers made my world go round.

See I even had time to arrange them stickers. The one I'm pointing at was my favourite. If I'm not mistaken its Sailor Jupiter or something like that. I've got only vague memories of names. Heh. The pictures blurry. Stating the obvious I know. I admit I'm not the best photographer and honestly I know next to nil about cameras.

I did discover something else while packing. But I'll just leave that for my next post. If I don't I'll have nothing else to ramble about.

To be continued...

So far..

Sunday, January 14, 2007

I've almost gotten used to college life. ALMOST. I haven't lost my way while getting to classes at least. Hehe.

College so far has been ok. Well I can't say much as I've only had 1 week of studies. I have got no complains whatsoever with my tutors or lecturers. I love it when they really enjoy teaching us bunch of students. Especially since we are now more open to speak our mind, they can expect frequent suggestions/opinions/point of views from us. They encourage it and thats a good thing. Their enthusiasm to teach us somehow makes up for the lackadaisical attitude of some previous teachers. God knows I've had to deal with the kind of teachers that really have no passion for teaching and teach as if it was a huge chore. I really hope my next few semesters continue this way.

Anyway, I'll have more interesting posts soon. Till then, take care and God bless.

XOXO,
Sara.

Merrrrrrrry Christmas

Tuesday, December 26, 2006

Its hard writing a post with someone breathing down your neck.Ughhhh.

I wanna go to a place where Christmas decorations adorn the streets and the smell of Christmas fills the air. I guess I feel this way mainly because I have not a SINGLE christmas decor this year. Moving is soooo tiresome.Hehe. But I'm not complaining.

Anyhow just to wish all of you out there a

Blessed Christmas!!

'Tis the season to be jolly.........'

Wednesday, December 13, 2006

You know, its strange really.
To know that one minute you're just starting out in secondary school and the next you're taking your first step into college. Its not that I WANT to be in secondary school right now. Seriously, to have the thought that I no longer have to fit myself into a school uniform for a good 250++ mornings in a year is quite nice. Scratch that. Its really nice. Heh. That uniform never suited me anyway.

I can still remember vividly my first day in form1. Oh how I couldn't wait to start secondary school. That feeling of starting something new was euphoria back then. That was then I guess. Now ultimate euphoria means new shoes, clothes and bags! Right now, I just can't believe that its all over. The past five years of my life that is.

Till now, I still have trouble digesting the fact that I've finished the chapter. It honestly feels like it was just yesterday that I opened this chapter in the book of my life and scanned the first few lines of the page. Now I've finished all 352641756087 pages. Now the book's closed and ready to be shelved in the part labeled Memories.

Sometime in the future I may just decide to take it down, blow off that layer of dust, remove the cobwebs and flip through it once again. By then I may just have grown more mature (hopefully) and laugh at all the things I did back then. Like stalking guys. But we'll discuss that in a different post. Or not.

Right now I'm just a fille tring to find my way in this big, big world.
This new chapter of my life has just begun and I have yet to engross myself in it. Oh well. Might as well indulge in it since I have nothing else to do :D

Friday, December 01, 2006

Come next Thursday, at approximately 4.30 p.m. , my cerebrum is going on a longgggggg holiday :) :)

Sunday, November 05, 2006

Saw this little bird of night perched on a tree in my neighbour's garden. A rare sight indeed. It was just sitting there, staring into oblivion. I have no idea what it was staring at. It sat there long enough for me to snap a few pictures. Didn't dare to get any closer just in case it decided to attack me. Hehe. Although it did look like an owlet to me. I didn't want to take any chances though. I have no idea what type of owl this is. I'm no expert in owls :D

I Want No Regrets.

Sunday, October 29, 2006

I want no regrets,
When I look back on my life,
At all the things I've done,
I don't want to see a girl looking all forlorn saying,
" What have I become? ".

I want no regrets,
When I look at my friends of long,
At all the things they have done and seen,
And turn to myself and think,
That could have been me.

I want no regrets,
When I look back on the things of the past,
At my actions and words I never meant but said,
I wish to learn now and not repeat,
From all the immature mistakes that I've made.

I want no regrets,
Even when I don't always make,
The right choices in life,
God knows I've done my best,
So I can look back and say " It's alright".

I want no regrets,
Even when the road I take,
May make life seem unbearable at times,
I know the right choices ain't always easy,
So faith in God and stubborn pride
will carry me through such hard times.

I want no regrets,
When my decisions in life,
Cause opportunities to pass me by,
When one door closes, another opens,
So I just won't sit around and cry.

So right now as I walk thorough this life,
I'll strive to do my best,
In the years to come I'll look back and say,
" I had no regrets ".

Of hilarious subtitles and CEOs

Sunday, October 22, 2006

The level of Malaysian pirated DVDs never ceases to amaze me. Yes, pirated DVDs are increasing tremendously. Look around at any coffee shop and you're bound to find at least 1 DVD seller.

What really amazes me, and gets my funny bone going on for hours, is their subtitles be it in Malay or English. Being a banana I can only read these two. No wise cracks please. On to the subject...

I remember watching a pirated version of Chicken Little less than a year ago I think. Darn, I'm getting old. Can't even remember when I watched it. Dear God, please don't let me turn senile to early..
As I was saying, I turned on the English subtitles as well. (Don't ask why. I've always had this habit of reading subtitles eventhough I can understand what the movie is about. A habit thats hard to break. Must have been too much Chinese soaps when I was younger.)

Anyway, there was a scene in the movie when chicken little said, "Where's my acorn?".And the subtitles read...."Where's my air-con?"...Just imagine a huge giant air-con falling on him!
Another scene, I'm not too sure what was happening already, the whole group of chicken little's friends were running from something. Then I think the pig shouted, " Fish, run for it!"....The subtitles read...." B**** run for it!"...Oh gosh. They called that cute little fishy a b****!...I couldn't stop laughing for a long time.

In another movie which I didn't watch but my mum related to me. Now this is worse because I heard that this movie was on TV and not some pirated DVD. In the movie, a person stands up and says, " I want to make a toast."...My mum was reading the Malay subtitles and they read.."Saya nak bakar roti"...Oh my gosh. How low can you get? Not even to realize the difference between this toast and toast bread??.. Here the character in the movie was trying to make a toast ond we in turn wanted to make toast bread. The TV producers should get some real translators.

Seriously am getting old. Can't remember where I saw this next hilarious part.It was a pirated DVD btw. In the movie, the character said, " Holy shit!!"...Everyone knows he/she was in some kind of trouble or saw something incredible to exclaime like that right? Our subtitles?...You're gonna love this one. They read "Tahi suci!"..Whahahahaha. Yes they really did. Directly translated it would mean that but c'mon already. I still can laugh about it till now. *bursts out laughing*

Recently I watched the The Devil Wears Prada on, you guessed it, another pirated DVD. Anyway the movie wasn't too bad but you'll have to love clothes to really enjoy it. A bit confusing here and there but I read the book before so it wasn't so bad. The English subtitles were horrendous. And to think I was counting on the subtitles to help me understand the movie a little better. Sheesshh. Anyway there was this part in the movie when a girl said, " When the boss is in a good mood, she's very good. But when she's in a bad mood, she's vicious." The subtitles came out before she spoke the words and guess what they said?..." When she's in a bad mood, she's fish shit."....Vicious = fish shit. I was bawling with laughter. Honestly. I even opened my ears wide enough to hear if the girl would actually call her boss fish shit.Turned out to be vicious instaed. * shakes head*

Note to self : Never rely on subtitles on pirated DVDs to understand the movie. Most of them anyway.

*****************************************************************

Germae was asking me the other day about what I wanted to be later in life. How easy it was 10 years ago to just say "Doctor".

Anyway I said I wasn't sure as usual. Heck, I'm not even sure what course I'll be taking in college. So anyway I asked her what she thinks I should do.

Guess what my lovely baybeh said?...She said, and I quote, " I feel you could be a Chief Executive Officer"...So sweet of her la. Imagine me a CEO. Hah. *mind floats away to dreamland*.Teehee.

Happy Deepavali and Selamat Hari Raya to all my friends out there!!!!!

Not at the best of moods at this very moment.

Know what I really can't stand?

People trying to read an article when I'M trying to read it. I don't mind, really, if we're sitting side by side reading the article or whatever it is. This (rant) mainly concerns people who like to poke their head over my shoulder and start reading whatever I'm reading. Look, kindly just ask for it after I have finished reading it ok? I would really appreciate that. Don't just stick your head at my shoulder and start reading it like nobodys business. Do I look like I like to have someone breathing down my neck? I don't blame you if you barely know me. In fact, I'll just stop reading and just pass it to you if you are someone I've just met.

But I guess some people are too dense to get the message after I've done this repeatedly. Ugh.

On a totally unrelated but similar matter.

When someone says your little antic is getting irritating, get the message and stop doing it for goodness sake. Some people have only so much self control. Do we need to stick a note on our heads to remind you all the time? I mean, sure, it was entertaining for a while. Then it just starts to get annoying and gradually becomes downright irritating. When no one else is laughing, the jokes over. Period. Even if you find it funny for some reason or another.

WOOOOHOOOO!!!

Say it with meeeeee...... TRIALS ARE OVER!!! O-V-E-R!!!

Gosh, I thought I would never see the day. Somehow I pictured a more, er, dramatic ending. Guess not. I was just so tired.

The big day ain't here yet though.

Study, study, study.Thats what I'll be doing for the next 2 months so please don't label me a nerd. SPM is just important to me ok.

I'll update later when I have more interesting things to yack about.

Being sleep deprived is slowly becoming my daily routine. I know its self-inflicted and all. I guess I never learn. Somebody shake some sense into me. Beat me if you need to.

Oh how I managed to survive this past week is beyond me. Another week to go. Not exactly hyped about it but I don't think anything can be worse than this past week. I don't suppose anything can get worse. At least I hope not.

*Looks to the sky*(or rather the celing)

I'm Confirmed!!!

Sunday, August 13, 2006

This post may turn a little emo at the end so please don't mind me.

As you probably guessed, I was confirmed today.
To say that the day went perfectly would be a total lie. It started out anything but perfect in fact.

Woke up at apporximately 5.15 a.m. I wish I could just smash my clock at times. I set my alarm at 6 a.m. and it wakes me up at 5 a.m. When I set it earlier, it doesn't even ring!...Stupid clock.. I'm refraining from chucking it just because its purple...I'm a sucker for all things purple. So yours truly here was as usual half blind and could not see that it was only 5 a.m. , woke up, bathed, and got dressed. When I was done dressing, I realised it was only 5.45 a.m. Stupid, stupid clock.

Then........

To my utmost horror, I saw yellow spots all over my white blouse!...Oh gosh I was gonna faint right there and then.... Mummy!!!

She was sleeping la.... So I had to slowly torture myself and figure out what to do. To cry or not to cry?..Thank god I didn't have to torture myself too long...Mummy woke up and took care of things. She did her best but the yellow spots still remained although faintly. They weren't even tiny ones....To me it looked huge! Of all days... At least no one noticed la.....

Went to church early. Had to assemble in the hall. Instructions were given and then walked into churh with my Godmum. She gave me a beautiful present! Mummy gave me one too! *beams widely*

Sat through the normal mass. Then the time came for the annointing with oil. He got oil into my hair!!!!...At least it wasn't that much la...But I thought it was only to be on my forehead le....It was a normal mass except for the presence of the Archbishop. Then it was time for photos!!.. And you know I never miss out on camwhoring.... : D

As much as I have been looking forward to Confirmation, there has always been this nagging little feeling inside me. The feeling of losing touch with all my friends in Sunday School. In a way, Confirmation marks the end of my Sunday School years. As a student at least. There's always a chance that I may go back and help out.

Its depressing really. I will definately lose touch with some of them. Sure we may meet each other in church but most of the friends I am close with go for the earlier masses. There's a 90% chance none of my sunday school friends will read this so I guess I can be as sappy as I want to be. I am soooooo gonna miss all of them. After ten or so years of being sunday schoolmates, its gonna be a little difficult to grasp that I won't be seeing them on every sunday from now on.

No more waiting for each other outside the classroom or in the corridors.
No more toilet breaks for the sole reason for doing our hair.
No more gossiping about the hot guys in out church. (I know, I know its bad. But we can't help it ;P )
No more listening to wild stories from our respective schools. Really wild stories. Its great to know about what happens in other schools every now and then.
No more calling each other to find out if there is sunday school. Half an hour before sunday school starts :D
No more mindless conversations.
No more bullying the teachers.
No more bullying our seniors who were helping out. We still love you guys.
No more havocs in class. Yeah, I'll even miss the havoc.

No more camwhoring with the girls.

Although we have been in the same class for about ten years, its sad that I never really got to know some of my classmates at all. Especially the quite ones. They just keep to themselves la. At least the guys were more open this year. Got to know some of them better.

When will I ever get to see this scene again?
